The club arranged this five day trip over spring break in order to see three shows and tour different parts of London.
“[We went] to visit famous sites in London, see theatre shows that we could not normally see in the US, and experience a new culture outside of America,” senior Anna Frost said.
According to Frost, the three plays they were able to attend were all amazing.
“We saw ‘39 Steps,’ a spoof of the Alfred Hitchcock film, which was hilarious!” she said. “‘Blood Brothers’ and ‘Billy Elliot’ were amazing musicals as well.”
Other than seeing plays, those who went on the trip also toured famous parts of London.
“The shows and Westminster Abbey stand out the most though,” Frost said. “Westminster was beautiful and there’s so much history there.”
Other places they visited include St. Paul’s Cathedral, Hampton Court Palace, House of Parliament and Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the National Art Museum.
They were also able to take a tour of the Old Globe Theatre and go to the Tower of London.
“The crown jewels are [at the Tower of London],” Frost said. “[They were] so amazing.”
