Scratchy beards and five-o’clock shadows are common for old men, but do they really belong on the faces of teenagers around America?
Of course, most guys will just have a small beard, goatee, or moustache, but still, it’s not exactly the most sanitary-looking thing.
Facial hair, something every guy has to deal with during his lifetime, is not only a nuisance, but it’s also pretty gross.
Having to wash the hair on your head is often enough trouble for most people, but having to clean hair on your face is even less exciting.
Washing the bits of food and other debris out of your facial hair is an awful experience, so is soap getting in your mouth and up your nose.
Along with this, facial hair can get itchy and uncomfortable. It scrapes your nose or brushes your chin for an uncomfortable situation.
According to an informal poll, girls, as well, don’t particularly enjoy seeing guys with fuzz all over their face.
Among most teenage girls, very few like the idea of having to kiss a guy with whiskers.
This is probably because girls don’t like having their delicate skin being scratched by hair.
If you see it from their point of view, you’d realize that you would probably not kiss a girl if she had a moustache.
Possibly another reason is because facial hair looks unsanitary. It seems kind of nasty when you sweat, having beads of fluid condensing on your face like drops of dew on the lawn in the morning.
Of course, shaving every day can be a pain, but it’s something people get used to over time.
It’s better to shave than have your girlfriend refuse to kiss you.
Overall, facial hair is a nasty, annoying thing that, not only detracts girls from you, but can also cause you discomfort.
